Overall, Katerina is recognized as a hidden gem delivering memorable culinary and hospitality experiences in a beautiful setting.
Had lunch there and rented sun beds to spend the afternoon at this beautiful beach. Everyone was super friendly and the service was great. The menu offers typical Greek food including salads, fresh fish and grilled vegetables and meat. Everything we had was delicious and reasonably priced.
5 stars are not enough for this place! Professional and welcoming service, amazing food, fair prices, not something you would expect in a place where the competition is almost non-existent (2 restaurants only). I think they are always able to serve food without reservation, but I would recommend to book the beds and umbrella if you plan to stay.
We had a great afternoon here, simple but delicious lunch consisting of Greek salad with local cheese, saganaki, grilled octopus and grilled Doran fish to share. The owner and staff are really sweet and charismatic, and it was bliss to swim in the sea afterwards, even though it was too full for us to get sunbeds. Also really helpful that they have free WiFi here since there is no mobile signal. If you can’t get a table in the front they also have tables on the rooftop terrace which was where we sat and it was lovely.
What can I say, I've been coming to Sifnos for the past 10 years and I've missed this gem! Katerina and her family are so welcoming. Not only the place is amazing, the restaurant is so tasty and the food is incredible. Also my mother had some issues with her knees and uphill can be very steep but Katerina arranged to take us to the parking with her car!
Rating scale: 1 = poor, 2 = fair, 3 = good, 4 = very good, 5 = excellent. The experience was simply magical. Dining at 7:30 pm as the sun set over the secluded Vroulidia bay felt like stepping into a postcard — golden light over the sea, a gentle breeze, and the sound of the waves just below. The food was a revelation of Sifnian tradition: Mastelo (tender goat meat slow-cooked in a clay pot that carries the same name, rich and aromatic), the island’s famous chickpea stew, perfectly crisp chickpea fritters, local greens and beets, fried anchovies, comforting pastitsio, and more — 11 dishes in total for just €33 per person. Every bite tasted authentic, homemade, and deeply rooted in the island’s culinary heritage. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, adding to the sense of Greek hospitality. An unforgettable evening that blended flavors, atmosphere, and authenticity — a must-visit in Sifnos.
The beach is amazing, the road to get here is very steep and not easy with a car, probably better with a scooter! The beach of katarina is very cute and the people working in the restaurant are super friendly and lovely! The food was good and prices fair! A little hidden paradise
Amazing little gem on this beautiful remote beach. Katerina was super nice and friendly. The sunset view on the rooftop deck was breathtaking. But the food was the best part, and for very reasonable price. Local fresh grilled fish with stewed vegetables and zucchini / goat cheese fritters...
Totally recommend for lunch and to stay the whole day at vroulidia beach. The sunbeds are 20€ per set. The tavern serves fresh seafood and greek traditional dishes. The taverna is owned by a super nice family, they are so welcoming and the service is fantastic!!! Highly recommend.
